I understand some mornings you wake up

I understand some mornings you wake up still sleepy,
Other days, tired of sleeping, you sleep again, hoping exhaustion slips away.
Some days, even bright mornings seem dark—
You’re glued to your bed, and your life feels stuck,
Stuck on things you can’t change.
Life feels hard, like bargaining fare with a conductor holding your change.
Some days feel like Kiambu—things get thicker,
Other days like Taveta—things get tighter.
You’re tired of being a fighter, lost in thoughts of tomorrow,
Hiding sorrow behind memes on your status.
They said education opens doors, but your degree finds no opportunity windows.
How can you meet the Apple of your eye when you’re used to Windows?
Faded dreams haunt you, rejection stole love,
And the beams of your bright future seem gone.
Heavy drinking doesn’t ease the weight,
And life’s battles make you feel like a soldier, barely holding on.
Your procrastination leaves you stuck,
The tree of happiness uprooted; you're clinging to roots.
Pain multiplies, home divides, and no one finds the square root.
Tired of chasing bags with bagging issues,
You stopped church because sermons made you the issue.
Some days, you pray for sunny skies, but rain keeps falling,
Doubting God reigns through the floods of guilt and depression.
Your thoughts are crowded, your relationships too,
And today feels tougher than yesterday.
But I’m here to tell you: I understand.
It gets hard, and sometimes you scream silently.
You dream of soft life, but life’s hard.
But huts aren’t permanent.
One day is all it takes. One leap of faith to overtake.
Tomorrow is assured when you trust who holds the future.
So smile, because "smile" ends with "mile."
If God is the living water, don’t fear the deep end—depend on Him.
When life gives questions, seek the One above for answers.
Prayers work when you stop questioning and start believing.
In your challenges, keep your faith solid—God is the solution.
Keep working while God works on you.
Keep walking, because one day is coming.
One day your cries will turn to laughter,
And things will be less tight.
Some day will be brighter.
